New Zealand Food Awards

Anyone planning to spend a holiday in New Zealand is sure to find an array of outstanding foods in this country known for its fresh and innovative produce.

Each year, the country celebrates its food champions through the New Zealand Food Awards, run in conjunction with Massey University.

In 2011, award winners included the producers of fresh salmon, breakfast cereals, syrups, honey and ginger cookies.

So make sure you put aside some time during your visit to New Zealand to find some of these award-winning foods!
